Former Strip Club Manager Denied Liquor License for Arlington Heights Restaurant
Ilias Haritos is hoping to open Bottles and Barrels Sports Bar & Grill at 1609 W. Campbell.

The Arlington Heights Village Board this week denied a liquor license for a former strip club manager who is now hoping to open a sports bar and grill in the village, according to the Daily Herald.
Ilias Haritos is seeking a liquor license for his proposed restaurant, Bottles and Barrels Sports Bar & Grill, which would be located at 1609 W. Campbell, the newspaper reports.
He said he left the strip club business because “he felt bad for the women he was hiring and wanted to get away from the negative aspects of the business,” and said his Arlington Heights restaurant “would have a welcoming environment and be open to families,” according to the Daily Herald.

Arlington Heights trustees denied a liquor license for Haritos stating there were “holes in his business plan” and due to questions over his background and “concerns that the establishment would be more of a bar than a restaurant,” the Daily Herald reports.
