Fortune 100 Company Eyes Former Nokia Building in Arilngton Heights

The developer and the village is keeping quiet on the name of the company.

A Fortune 100 company is close to signing a lease for the former Nokia building at 1421 W. Shure Drive in Arlington Heights, the Daily Herald reports.

Northbrook-based owner Torburn Partners told the Arlington Heights Village Board Monday the company is about a week away from signing a lease for the 1.1-million-square-foot campus, which could bring a large number of jobs and new employees to the village, according to the article. The name of the Fortune 100 company is not being released.

Before Nokia, Motorola occupied the campus where 4,000 to 4,500 employees worked, the newspaper reports.

“It’s one of the largest office campuses we have in Arlington Heights,” said Charles Perkins, director of planning and community development for Arlington Heights.
