Free Community Art Show First Friday in May

Dudley J. Sherman is exploring the reclamation of American design from the 1940’s through the 1960’s with his neon art. He has carved a niche in the neon art world by recycling American consumer products from that period into his sculptures. “I love incorporating neon with vintage appliances, furniture, mannequins and other flea market finds. I get inspiration from the lines of art deco pieces.”

Using found articles such as toasters, mix masters, blenders and other small appliances, his work utilizes the design of items that represent a time when form celebrated function.

Dudley’s work will be displayed for the entire month of May.
