Goddard School In Arlington Heights Participating In Annual Book Drive

The childcare provider is hoping to collect 25,000 books for low-income families from across its locations in Chicagoland.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Over the last decade, a partnership between The Goddard School and Bernie's Book Bank has resulted in the collection of more than 250,000 donated books for low-income families throughout Chicagoland. This year, the partners are at it again with a goal of collecting 25,000 books at the various Goddard Schools in the area.

The Goddard School has a participating location in Arlington Heights at 1316 N. Arlington Heights Road.

New and gently used books will be collected through Feb. 28 when they will then be distributed to under-served children through Bernie’s Book Bank, located at 917 North Shore Drive, Lake Bluff.

According to a news release from Goddard Schools, 61 percent of low-income families have no books at all in their homes for their children.
