Hersey Football Playoffs: Huskies Face Jacobs In First Round
John Hersey (7-2) is the No. 14 seed in the Class 7A playoff bracket.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — It was a strong fall overall for the Hersey High School varsity football team as it posted a 7-2 record in the regular season. Next up for the Huskies is the Illinois High School Association playoffs.
The IHSA released the postseason brackets and seedings on Saturday. Hersey, a No. 14 seed, squares off with No. 19 seed Jacobs (6-3) in a first-round contest of the 32-team Class 7A playoffs. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Friday for the home contest.

The Huskies, who finished 3-2 Mid-Suburban (East), are coming off a 21-20 loss versus Buffalo Grove. Hersey was third in the conference.
The Eagles, who finished fourth in the Fox Valley conference, beat Dundee-Crown, 47-14, in their regular season finale.
