Hobby Lobby to Close Mount Prospect Location This Week
The store at 1480 S. Elmhurst Road will close on Friday.

The Mount Prospect Hobby Lobby at 1480 S. Elmhurst Road will close at the end of the business day on Friday, the Daily Herald reports. Company spokesman Bob Miller said several employees will be moving to a new store in Clinton, Iowa, while others will be taking jobs at other stores.
Miller told the Daily Herald the close proximity of several other Hobby Lobby stores in the suburbs was the reason behind moving their operations to an “underserved market.”
Hobby Lobby has locations in Schaumburg, Palatine, Deerfield, Vernon Hills, Bloomingdale, Lombard and Algonquin.
