Investigators 'Not Searching For Body' At Des Plaines Home: Police

DES PLAINES, IL — Police are denying reports that they've been searching for a body at a Des Plaines home the last two days, instead saying they're conducting a follow-up investigation stemming from an "old case." Investigators have been spotted at the home in the 100 block of North Warrington Road.

"We can confirm that there is no threat to the public regarding this investigation," Des Plaines police said in a Wednesday news release. "No further information can be released at this time. More information will be released when we believe it will not jeopardize the integrity of the investigation."

Police said they are working with the Cook County Major Case Assistance Team on the investigation.
