Kara Kesselring & Sugarcreek Road

Country, Americana, Folk and Pop!

Sugarcreek Road brings a unique mixture of styles together including folk, pop, bluegrass, gospel and Americana. The group has been likened to artists such as Crooked Still and the Wailin’ Jennys. Sugarcreek Road's songs reflect the band's rural roots and urban present.

Kara Kesslering has been active on the Chicago music scene for over a decade. Born and raised a country girl in Iowa, Kara grew up singing old hymns in a rural church and performing in a country band. Kara has performed many pop and jazz engagements in Chicago and around the globe, and currently tours and performs in the national Broadway musical Jersey Boys. She has toured, accompanied and arranged for the breakout PBS retro-rock sensation Under the Streetlamp; as well as composing, arranging, and performing around the globe for educational comedy troupe Wavelength.
