ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Two massive Colorado Spruce trees were donated by two local families in recent weeks and set up at Harmony Park and North School Park in Arlington Heights, village officials said. Arlington Heights Public Works Department employees delivered a tree from the McCarter family, of the 700 block of South Walnut, to Harmony Park.
The Balmer family donated the Colorado Spruce set up on the south end of North School Park, according to a post on the village of Arlington Heights Facebook page.

The trees arrived ahead of the village's annual tree lighting ceremony, which will be held on Nov. 29. The festivities get started at 4 p.m. and there will be free rides on the Holly Trolleys, and ice sculptor at Harmony Park creating holiday-themed ice carvings and free holiday portraits from Bravo4studio.
