LOCAL MAN GRADUATES UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS BOOT CAMP

Private First Class Stephen Thomas Uhlarik Jr., 20 of Lake Zurich graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on April 20, 2018. Private First Class Uhlarik successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD San Diego as one of Lima companies recruits in Training Platoon 3242. While in recruit training PFC Uhlarik accomplished many things including qualifying as an Expert shooter and being a squad leader. He was awarded a meritorious promotion from Private to Private First Class. Following ten days home on leave he will report to Camp Pendleton for one month at Military Combat Training then he will go straight to his Military Occupation Specialty school at Camp LeJeune.
