Long Term Care Insurance Expert Brian Gordon Offers Community Education Programs

Workshops teach how to prepare for long term care needs.

Brian Gordon, a nationally-recognized expert in Long Term Care Insurance (LTCI), will participate in two community education programs in October on financial planning for long term care needs. President of MAGA Ltd. in Riverwoods, Brian Gordon has over 25 years of experience in the industry and is a frequent speaker and educator for community organizations, banks, corporations, and insurance professionals. Gordon will bring his professional perspective and advice to public audiences at John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights as part of District 214’s Community Education Series.

On Wednesday, October 7, Gordon will be part of an expert panel for the educational presentation How to Navigate a Long Term Care Crisis. He will be joined by attorneys Matt Margolis and Lauren Weldon, estate planning and elder law specialists from the firm of Margolis Weldon LLC. This informational session will provide vital information about proactive planning and emergency strategies for long term care needs. The panel will discuss common mistakes that may cause unnecessary headache, heartache, and delay. In addition, they will address the first three calls family members should make when a loved one is dealing with a long term care crisis.

One week later, on Wednesday, October 14, Gordon will present Long Term Care Planning – What You & Your Family Need to Know. Gordon will provide an overview of financial planning as it relates to long term care needs. Topics will includet the features and benefits found in most LTCI policies as well as a discussion of what health insurance (Obama Care), Medicare, Medicare supplements, and the government will cover. Participants will also learn about the advantages of traditional LTCI and asset-based products (life or annuity with a long term care rider), and how to choose the best protection for specific needs.
