Man Accused in Attempted Arlington Heights Home Invasion Charged in Bank Burglary
Andrew Palacios, 26, faces felony burglary charges after allegedly breaking in to a Palatine bank Sunday.

A Palatine man accused in an attempted home invasion in Arlington Heights on Sunday morning was arrested on burglary charges after breaking in to a Palatine bank later that same morning, according to police.
Andrew Palacios, 26, of the 2000 block of Thorntree Lane in unincorporated Palatine, was arrested and charged with felony burglary and felony possession of burglary tools after being accused of breaking in to Chase Bank, 825 W. Euclid Ave., on Sunday and taking off with a few small items from the financial institution, Palatine police said in a release.

It is unclear whether charges have been filed in the attempted home invasion case in Arlington Heights.
Palacios allegedly entered the bank by breaking a window Sunday and setting off the alarm. When police arrived, they noticed Palacios, who was dressed in dark clothes, wore a ski mask and was carrying a hammer, exiting the rear of the bank.

Officers chased Palacios on foot and caught him in minutes with help from Inverness and Rolling Meadows police units, according to the report.
