Man With Bicycle Struck By Metra Train At Schaumburg Station
Metra officials said the man was taken to a hospital after being struck by an outbound train Thursday morning.
SCHAUMBURG, IL — A man with a bicycle was struck by an outbound Metra train at the Schaumburg station Thursday morning, according to Metra officials.
The collision happened at about 7:20 a.m., the Daily Herald reported.
Initial reports indicated the person struck was a man with a bicycle, according to Metra officials. He was taken to a hospital, but his condition was not immediately known.

The crash halted service along the line Thursday morning. Metra officials said trains would continue running east of Schaumburg, but there was no immediate timetable for full service to resume.
The Schaumburg station is on Metra’s Milwaukee District West line.
