The death was unwitnessed, but a preliminary investigation indicated there was no threat to the public.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A 62-year-old resident of Chicago was found dead Sunday morning near the Arlington Park Train Station. Police and fire crews responded to 2121 W. Northwest Highway for a report of an unresponsive man in the grass parkway between Northwest Highway and the north edge of the train platform.
Despite the death being unwitnessed, a preliminary investigation did not identify any threat to the community, nor any conspicuous evidence of a crime having preceded the death, according to a news release.
The man was pronounced dead at 9:38 a.m., at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner. While there were no overt signs of trauma stemming from an accident, nor any significant evidence of injury, the CCMEO’s office took custody of the body and will continue the investigation into the cause of death, police said.
