Man Found Shot Dead In Car In Possible Homicide: Des Plaines PD

DES PLAINES, IL — After a 33-year-old Rosemont man was found dead in a car with a gunshot wound Wednesday afternoon, Des Plaines police said the early stages of an investigation has revealed the incident may have been a homicide.

At around 4:25 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of North Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Joseph Kalamaris seated in a vehicle parked in the street with a gunshot wound. Police said family members had found Kalamaris and called 911.

Police said the incident was isolated and there is no threat to the public.
