Man With Handgun Causes Disturbance At Schaumburg Airport: Police

SCHAUMBURG, IL — A man with a handgun caused a disturbance Friday afternoon after entering a restricted parking lot area at Schaumburg Regional Airport. Police said the man engaged with employees of the airport at 905 W. Irving Park Road.

Police responded to the incident at around 2:30 p.m., quickly locating the man and taking him into custody. The handgun was secured, and no injuries have been reported.

Police said operations at the airport were not disrupted due to the isolated incident. An investigation is ongoing.
