Man Hit by Metra Train Sunday in Arlington Heights

The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being clipped by the train, the Daily Herald reports.

A man was hit by a Metra train while standing on the train tracks on Vail Street in Arlington Heights on Sunday night, according to the Daily Herald.

The train struck the pedestrian at about 9:45 p.m., according to CBS Chicago. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Daily Herald reports.

The train that struck the pedestrian was linked to another train, train 723, which had experienced mechanical problems and had been scheduled to arrive in Harvard at 8:20 p.m., according to the Chicago Tribune.
