Man Sexually Abuses Woman Inside Her Palatine Home: Sheriff
The 40-year-old reportedly threatened the woman to stay silent during the incident because he knew where she worked.

PALATINE, IL — A Palatine man remains in the Cook County Jail after being charged with felony criminal sexual abuse following a Saturday incident at a victim's home. Juan Ramirez-Perez, 40, is due back in court Tuesday after a judge ordered him to be held in custody.
According to the Cook County Sheriff's Office, police responded to a call at a Long Valley Drive apartment complex where a 26-year-old woman said she had been inappropriately touched without her consent by Ramirez-Perez. She also said he had threatened her to stay silent during the incident because he knew where she worked. Ramirez-Perez reportedly left the apartment through a kitchen window.
A witness who also resides in the apartment told police Ramirez-Perez had been a guest the previous night, sleeping inside the bathtub of the bathroom where the incident took place. The witness was able to provide with a photo of Ramirez-Perez, as well as information on where he lives.

Detectives went to Ramirez-Perez's home and arrested him without incident. The felony charge was approved by the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.
