Man Sexually Assaulted Child In His Home: Palatine PD

PALATINE, IL — A man is accused of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13 in his Palatine home. Rigoberto Rivera, 41, of the 600 block of S. Middleton, was arrested Thursday and charged with felony predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

Rivera had a detention hearing Friday and is due back in court on Dec. 8.

According to police, the juvenile victim, who is not related to Rivera, told a family member about the incident, which reportedly took place on Nov. 3 at the home of the accused.
