Man Spits On Cops, Resists Arrest After Casino Removal: Des Plaines PD
The Plainfield resident was charged with three felonies after attempting to fight another patron Thursday at the Rivers Casino.

DES PLAINES, IL — A Plainfield man is accused of three felonies, among other charges, following an incident early Thursday at Rivers Casino. George Warner, 44, of the 2800 block of Sun Valley Drive, was charged with three felony counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer, along with two counts of resisting a peace officer and criminal trespass to real property.
Warner was given no bond in the case and remains in the Cook County Jail. He is due back in court March 7.
Police were called to the casino, located in the 3000 block of S. Des Plaines River Road, at 1:15 a.m. for a report of an unwanted subject, who was wearing all red. Security identified Warner to police and said he had already been asked to leave the property prior to a 911 call being placed. Warner was reportedly attempting to fight another patron.

Police requested Warner's identification and told he needed to leave, to which he ignored both requests. Police said they touched Warner's shoulder while asking him to leave. He then clenched his fist, took a fighting stance and threatened to harm police if they came near him.
Police continued to ask Warner for his name and to leave when he started yelling profanities and threats at the officers. He told one officer he would punch her in the face and lunged at her with a clenched fist. Police then approached Warner and attempted to detain him. He reportedly clenched his arms and refused to follow instructions to put his hands behind his back. Warner continued to resist the police and was escorted to the ground, where they were able to place him in handcuffs.

Warner was initially brought to the police station, but was later taken to a local hospital by the Des Plaines Fire Department with non-life-threatening injuries. Upon discharge, he was told he was being taken back to the police station. Warner refused to comply with requests to stand and walk to a squad car, according to police.
When attempting to escort Warner to the car, he reportedly dropped his weight and resisted officers. He then attempted to kick one of the officers, before turning and spitting on the other in the face.
Warner was then handcuffed and successfully escorted to the squad car, and while assisting him in, He again spat at the other officer and struck him in the head.
The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved the felony charges.
