Man Throws Rock Through Window At Metra Station: Palatine PD

The Evanston man was charged with a felony following the Sunday night incident.

PALATINE, IL — An Evanston man has been charged with a felony after he reportedly threw a rock through a window Sunday night at the Palatine Metra station. Jamal T. Sutton Malone, 31, of the 100 block of Ridge Avenue, is accused of criminal damage to state supported property, and was arrested following the incident.

According to police, officers were conducting foot patrols in the 100 block of West Wood Street at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, when they heard the sound of shattering glass. Upon closer inspection, they discovered a window at the Metra station had been broken by a rock.

Officers made immediate contact with Malone, who was standing next to the broken window. He was taken into custody and subsequently released. Malone is due back in court on Jan. 30.
