Man, Woman Die in Murder-Suicide at Motel 6 in Arlington Heights: Police
The bodies of the man and woman were found in an Arlington Heights Motel 6 room.
A 41-year-old woman was killed before her boyfriend took his own life in a Motel 6 hotel room in Arlington Heights Thursday afternoon, police said Friday.
The woman, Cecilia Perez, and her boyfriend, whose identity is not being released, both died of stab wounds and lacerations from a knife, according to an Arlington Heights Police Department press release.
Police were called to the Motel 6 at 441 W. Algonquin Road after hotel staff entered the couple’s room at about 1 p.m. Thursday and found a large amount of blood on the floor, according to the news release.

When officers arrived, they found Perez and her boyfriend dead in the room. The name of the offender is being withheld at this time as police notify his family.
