Memorial Day 2017: What's Open And Closed In Arlington Heights

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Across the United States, people will be celebrating Memorial Day on Monday, a national holiday to honor those who died in active military service. In Arlington Heights, the federal holiday will be marked by the village's 98th annual Memorial Day Parade and Tribute to Our Fallen Heroes and Veterans, which begins at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 29, in front of Village Hall and ending at Memorial Park.

Schools: No classes for District 15, District 25, District 59, District 211 and District 214 schools.

Arlington Heights Village Government: The Village Hall will be closed, and state and federal government offices will be closed, too.
Arlington Heights Memorial Library: The library will be closed.
Postal Service: No mail delivery, and all post offices will be closed.
Banks: Most financial institutions will be closed. Call ahead to be sure.
Trash Pickup: Garbage collection service will be delayed until the next because the holiday.
