Meth, Gun Charges Filed Against Texas Man: Arlington Heights Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A Texas man arrested in Arlington Heights is facing charges involving methamphetamine, a firearm, drug paraphernalia and cannabis, according to the latest Arlington Heights Police Department arrest report.

Sean W. McCabe, 50, of Austin, Texas, was arrested Aug. 8 in the 2200 block of South Arlington Heights Road. Police listed charges of methamphetamine possession, unlawful possession or use of a firearm by a felon, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful cannabis use by a driver. He was scheduled to appear Sept. 4 in Rolling Meadows court.

It was among several arrests recently reported by Arlington Heights police.

Weapons And Drug Charges

Jerrell D. Johnson, 38, of Arlington Heights, was arrested Aug. 10 and charged with unlawful possession or use of a weapon by a felon and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Police records list a Sept. 1 court date in Rolling Meadows.

Police records show she was cited and released, with a Sept. 9 court date in Rolling Meadows.

Domestic Battery, Order Of Protection

Eric L. Sutton, 61, of Lombard, was arrested Aug. 13 in the 0-100 block of West Algonquin Road and charged with domestic battery causing bodily harm and resisting or obstructing a peace officer. He was scheduled for an Aug. 28 court appearance in Rolling Meadows.

Tomasz R. Swies, 41, of Arlington Heights, was arrested Aug. 10 and charged with violating an order of protection and resisting or obstructing an officer. His court date was listed as Aug. 24 in Rolling Meadows.

Retail Theft

Barbara H. Rifkind, 75, of Riverwoods, was arrested Aug. 10 in the 1700 block of East Rand Road and charged with retail theft. Police records show she was cited and released and given a Sept. 8 adjudication date.

Warrant

Erick Raul Garcia, 30, of Arlington Heights, was arrested Aug. 9 on an in-state warrant and charged with two counts of violation of bail bond. The report lists a detention hearing but does not provide a court date.
