Metropolis Director: Financial Future Looking Up

The Metropolis recorded a deficit at the end of the last fiscal year, according to the Daily Herald.

The Metropolis Performing Arts Centre's financial outlook is looking good with this fiscal year seeing an increase in enrollment at summer camps and "positive donation trends," Metropolis Executive Director Charlie Beck told the Daily Herald. 

The Metropolis recorded a deficit at the end of the last fiscal year, which ended on April 30—even after Beck stopped taking a salary, according to the article.

The Arlington Heights theater is currently undergoing renovations to its second floor and the village recently approved funds to pay for a new stage sound system, according to the Daily Herald.
