Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With Dump Truck On IL-53 In Arlington Heights: Police
All lanes of the highway were closed for several hours Monday morning following the overnight incident.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A motorcyclist was killed following a crash with a dump truck overnight on Illinois Route 53 in Arlington Heights. Illinois State Police tell Patch the highway was closed in both directions for a number of hours following the incident, but all lanes had reopened as of 7:10 a.m.
Police said the incident occurred at around 1:29 a.m. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic was being diverted to any/all immediate exit ramps.
