Naloxone Training Held at Funeral Home in Arlington Heights

With the hopes of preventing future overdose deaths, and remembering those who have died, Live4Lali is hosting the Aug. 31 event.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — Live4Lali will host a remembrance ceremony for those who have lost loved ones to a drug overdose and also provide naloxone training on Aug. 31, according to a news release. The event will be held on International Overdose Awareness Day and will run from 5 to 8 p.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road.

The event will allow attendees to share stories, network and educate themselves. There will be naloxone training available, safe supply resources and testing for Hepatitis C and HIV. There will be a photo memorial and candlelight vigil as well to remember those who have died from an overdose.
The Kenneth Young Center will have a tent for children's crafts and henna tattoos.
