Pedestrian Hospitalized With Life-Threatening Injuries After Being Hit By Car: Rolling Meadows PD
The Wednesday crash has shut down Algonquin Road near the Meadowbrook Industrial Court, according to police.
ROLLING MEADOWS, IL — A pedestrian was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries Wednesday after being struck by a car. Rolling Meadows police said Algonquin Road between Barker Avenue and New Wilke Road remains closed to both eastbound and westbound traffic.
Police responded to the incident at 9:15 a.m., finding a man down in the roadway at Algonquin Road and Meadowbrook Industrial Court. The identity of the man is not being released at this time.
The driver of the vehicle involved is cooperating with authorities, according to police, as the crash is being investigated with assistance from the Major Case Assistance Team's Serious Traffic Reconstruction unit.
