ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Joo Young Moon, 42, of the 400 block of N. Harding Avenue, Chicago, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 9:20 p.m. May 5, in the 500 block of E. Seegers Road, Arlington Heights.

BATTERY

Kelvin M. S. Twine, 27, of the 2100 block of S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 7:25 a.m. May 8, in the 40 block of W. Northwest Highway. He was released and assigned a court date of June 17.

INCIDENTS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A citizen called police at 12:38 p.m. April 28, to report someone puncher driver's side window, causing it to shatter, while at Taco Bell, 1530 W. Algonquin Road. The person was described as a Hispanic male, in his 30s, wearing an orange jacket and riding a green bicycle.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

  • Citizens called police at 3:45 a.m. May 1, to report someone had forcibly entered their white Mercedes and silver Ford and subsequently damaged the steering columns and rummaged through the interior while they were parked in the 1700 block of N. Mitchell Avenue.
  • A citizen reported that between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. April 30, someone had entered their secured locker and stole car keys at Wellness Center, 900 W. Central Road. Upon returning to his car, the victim noticed his cell phone and credit cards were missing.

THEFT

A resident in the 800 block of W. Rand Road reported at 9:43 a.m. May 2, someone had stolen his package from the lobby which had been delivered by USPS.

ARSON

A citizen called police at 7:45 p.m. May 2, to report someone had placed a firework in the portable toilet, which caused significant damage, at Berbecker Park, 207 N. Wilshire Lane.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee at Walgreens, 3 E. Golf Road, reported at 10:08 a.m. May 4, someone had stolen an unknown amount of merchandise. The person was described as a white female, in her 30s, with long black hair, wearing a black shirt, hoodie, and blue jeans, carrying a blue purse. The woman had arrived and left in a red SUV.
