'Princess Diaries' Author Meg Cabot to Sign at Metropolis in May

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL―Meg Cabot, the award-winning author of The Princess Diaries, will be holding a personalized signing in May at the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre.

The event, which is sponsored by the Tuscan Market and Wine Shop's book club, will be Friday, May 13, with doors opening at 6:15 p.m., according to the signing's Facebook page. Tickets are $30 and includes a glass of wine or sparkling juice and copies of the following books:

• Royal Wedding, the first adult installment in the Princess Diaries series
• From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess
• Remembrance, the seventh novel in The Mediator series

Cabot also will answer questions, and a photo booth will be set up for attendees. As part of a Tuscan Market Book Club bonus, those attending in princess attire will be entered into a raffle for special prizes.

Tickets can be purchased at Tuscan Market, 141 W. Wing St., or by calling (847) 392-9700. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Arlington Heights arts center, 111 W. Campbell St.
