Purse Stolen As Woman Tries On Clothes: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

DRIVING ON A REVOKED/SUSPENDED LICENSE

  • Raul R. Avalos, 49, of the 20 block of W. Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving on a revoked license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 5:11 p.m. Jan. 10, in the 900 block of W. Algonquin Road. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 27.
  • Michelle Lee Goodson Harris, 34, of the 1700 block of Poplar Place, Schaumburg, is accused of driving on a revoked license, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, and was arrested at 8:59 p.m. Jan. 16, in the 700 block of W. Algonquin Road. She was released and assigned a court date of Feb. 11.
  • Harold M. Parcel, 55, of the 2800 block of Pearl Avenue, Melrose, is accused of two counts of driving on a suspended license, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 5:59 p.m. Jan. 15, in the 500 block of W. Camp McDonald Road, Prospect Heights. He was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 21.

PROSTITUTION

Ramona Del Carmen De Ramirez, 33, of the 20 block of W. Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of prostitution, and was arrested at 6:20 p.m. Jan. 14, in the 20 block of W. Algonquin Road. She was released and assigned a court date of Jan. 27.

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Amit K. Garg, 40, of the 4400 block of Palmer Circle, Naperville, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested at 12:01 a.m. Jan. 15, in the 0-10 block of W. Algonquin Road.

INCIDENTS

RETAIL THEFT

The staff at Ulta, 13 W. Rand Road, reported at 5:35 p.m. Jan. 7, two women stole approximately $864.00 worth of products.

THEFT

  • A complainant reported that between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Jan. 9, someone stole her purse from the nurse's station on the seventh floor of the south tower in the 800 block of W. Central Road. The person proceeded to make unauthorized purchases with the victim's credit cards.
  • A customer at Ross Dress for Less, 370 E. Rand Road, called police at 6:49 p.m. Jan. 10, to report someone had stolen her purse, which she left on top of a rack while trying on clothes. A review of the surveillance cameras showed a female, with brown hair and wearing a black jacket, steal the victim's purse.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO RESIDENCE

A resident in the 0-100 block of N. Reuter called police to report that during the overnight hours of Jan. 12, someone entered her garage through the side door and moved items around.
