The Germany-based grocer is investing more than $5 billion to remodel existing stores and open hundreds of new stores across the country.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — ALDI will welcome shoppers back to its renovated Schaumburg store when it reopens at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19. The store, at 1412 E. Algonquin Road, is part of an ongoing initiative to remodel and expand existing ALDI stores nationwide, according to a news release.
Upon reopening, the Schaumburg store will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
The updated store provides an improved layout and ample refrigeration to accommodate an expanded fresh and convenient food selection, according to the news release. It also features open ceilings and natural lighting, and it is built with environmentally friendly materials. Like all ALDI stores, the remodeled Schaumburg location still offers a streamlined shopping experience and low prices in every aisle, but customers will notice the elevated design.
