Resident Killed In Wisconsin Sledding Accident: Police
The 50-year-old Arlington Heights woman was visiting family, according to authorities.
FARMINGTON, WI — An Arlington Heights woman was killed Saturday in a sledding accident about 40 miles west of Milwaukee in Farmington, Wisconsin. Police said the 50-year-old woman was visiting family in the area when the accident occurred.
Her identity is not being released at this time, according to a release from the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
A caller told police that the woman veered off course at around 3:53 p.m. Saturday while riding down a sledding hill at Camp Awana. She then crashed into a brush area and several trees. According to police, she was ejected from the inner tube and was lying unresponsive on the ground at the bottom of the hill.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies, Fillmore EMS, Newburg EMS, and West Bend Intercept responded to the scene. Milwaukee Flight For Life also assisted with rescue efforts.
The woman was ultimately transported to Froedtert Milwaukee, where she succumbed to her injuries at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night.
