Roadside Safety Check Held This Weekend in Arlington Heights
The checkpoint will take place the night of Dec. 19 on Arlington Heights Road south of Algonquin Road.

The Arlington Heights Police Department will be stepping up enforcement efforts starting on Dec. 18 and continuing through Jan. 3.
Enforcement activities will include numerous impaired driving saturation patrols and a Roadside Safety Checkpoint. The checkpoint will take place the night of Saturday, December 19, on Arlington Heights Road south of Algonquin Road.

Officers working the campaign will be attempting to identify and cite motorists who are driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or are committing other traffic-related offenses.
The campaigns are funded with federal traffic safety funds, which are administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation – Division of Transportation Safety.
