SCHAUMBURG, IL — A Schaumburg man is accused of felony disseminating child pornography after investigators determined he shared several sexually explicit images and videos of children under the age of 13 through social media apps, according to Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart. David Prince, 24, of the 1500 block of Somerset Lane, told investigators he used social media to view child pornography following his arrest.

Investigators revealed Prince shared more than two dozen pornographic images and videos of underage children on social media apps.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Police Special Victims Unit said it received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about images and videos of child pornography found on a social media account linked to Prince. On Monday, SVU investigators executed a search warrant for his residence where they seized his cell phone and other electronic devices, and he was taken into custody for further investigation.
