Police End Search For Man Who Fled Cops During Traffic Stop: Mount Prospect PD
Police were asking anyone who might see the man Sunday night to not approach him as a K-9 unit and drones had been assisting in the search.
MOUNT PROSPECT, IL — A search for a man police said fled officers Sunday night during a traffic stop has ended as police believe he has left the area.l. Mount Prospect police had originally sent out a community alert regarding the situation at 4:55 p.m., asking residents to not approach the man, but instead to call 911.
“Our officers believe that the person is no longer in the area and we have stopped actively searching for him,” Mount Prospect police said about one hour later.
Police were utilizing a K9 unit and drones in the search in the neighborhoods of Lincoln and Emerson Street. The man is described as white, with black hair, wearing a gray hoodie, black pants and no shoes.
