Shots Fired During Home Invasion: Hoffman Estates PD
Police said several bullet holes were found in the drywall of the residence following the incident Monday night.
HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL — Shots were fired during a home invasion Monday night in the 2000 block of Kettering Road. According to police, the incident appears to have been isolated, but no one is in custody.
Police responded to the property at around 10:02 p.m. following a report of a home invasion with shots fired. Officers found the front door of the home damaged, consistent with someone forcing entry into the residence. The people responsible had left the scene prior to police arrival.
According to police, there were no victims, but several bullet holes were found in the drywall of the residence.

Police describe the suspects as three black males, with one wearing a red hoodie, one wearing a yellow hoodie, and one wearing a white hoodie. All were reported to be wearing ski masks, with one male allegedly holding a semi-automatic handgun. They were last seen running northbound from the scene.
An early investigation has revealed the trio possibly knew the residents and that they were targeted.
