Shots Fired, Shell Casings Found: Mount Prospect PD

MOUNT PROSPECT, IL — Following multiple 911 calls of shots being fired in the area of Wheeling Road and Dogwood Lane Wednesday night, Mount Prospect police said they discovered shell casings in the area as they work to identify those involved in the incident.

Police responded to the area at around 9 p.m., but were unable to find anyone injured, involved or any damage to property in the area. There is an increased police presence in the area as a result of the incident.

The Mount Prospect Police Department will have an increased presence in the area as a result of this incident. Flock license plate cameras in the area are being reviewed and anyone who has any video footage or any information that might assist with this investigation should call the Mount Prospect Police Department Investigations Section at 847-870-5654.
