Speeding Driver Sustains Serious Injuries In Single-Car Crash: Palatine PD

PALATINE, IL — A Chicago man sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning in the 1100 block of East Dundee Road. Palatine police said the 21-year-old was taken to an area hospital following the crash.

The Palatine police and fire departments responded to the scene involving a black Dodge Ram pickup truck at around 8:30 a.m. Witnesses reported the eastbound truck was traveling at a high rate of speed before it lost control, striking a streetlight and then a tree.

According to police, the roadway was closed from approximately for over two hours. No other vehicles were involved.
