St. Raymond Catholic Church in Mt. Prospect to Host Lenten Friday Fish Fries

St. Raymond will host three Lenten Friday Fish Fries February 20, March 6, and March 20.

For the twelfth consecutive year, St. Raymond de Penafort Catholic Church in Mt. Prospect will host three Friday night Lenten Fish Fries on February 20, March 6, and March 20 between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. And due to their ever-increasing success, the Fish Fries—which witness big crowds due to a menu of great food along with splendid camaraderie—will once again take place in the church’s larger and more accommodating Parish Life Center. “We are excited to be able to offer this Lenten dinner event to the parish and local community once again this year,” said Libby Bullock, who along with Corrie Cogan co-chairs the Fish Fries. “The fact that this is our twelfth consecutive year of Lenten Fish Fries is a testament to the support they’ve received from the parish and surrounding communities.” Both dine in and carryout meals—consisting of fresh perch, fried shrimp, or cheese pizza, French fries, cole slaw, apple sauce, salad, beverages, and dessert—will be available until 7:30 p.m. Dinner costs are: $10 for adult fish or shrimp dinner, $11 for the combination adult fish and shrimp dinner, $10 for seniors combination fish and shrimp dinner, $8 for adult and seniors pizza dinner, $6 for kid’s fish or shrimp dinner, $7 for kid’s fish and shrimp combination dinner, and $5 for kid’s pizza. Complimentary water and lemonade will be available along with a cash bar for beer, wine, and soda. The entrance to the St. Raymond PLC is on Lincoln Street, just west of the church’s spacious parking lot on IL Hwy. 83 at the corner of Elmhurst Avenue and Lincoln Street.
