St. Raymond Hosts 13th Consecutive Year of Lenten Fish Fry Fridays
The Mount Prospect Catholic Church will host three Lenten Fish Fry Fridays February 12, February 26, and March 11 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

For the thirteenth consecutive year, St. Raymond de Penafort Catholic Church in Mt. Prospect will host three Lenten Fish Fry Fridays on February 12, February 26, and March 11 between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Private, preferred seating with restaurant-style service will be an available option for the first time this year in the Community Room for seniors and adults without children. Families will be seated in the gym with buffet-style service.
“We are excited to be able to offer this Lenten dinner event to the parish and local community once again this year,” said Libby Bullock, who along with Corrie Cogan co-chairs the Fish Fry Fridays. “To better meet the needs of our two main dining groups, we will be offering seniors and adults without children the option of being seated in the relative quiet comfort of the Parish Community Room where they will be waited upon by our junior high students. Families with children will be served buffet-style in the more spacious gym area.”
“St. Raymond also will be offering delicious fried cod instead of perch this year on its menu, along with Mac n’ cheese as one of the side options,” said Bullock.

Both dine in and carryout meals will feature fresh cod, fried shrimp, or cheese pizza as the main entree, with a choice of two of the following as sides: French fries, Mac n’ cheese, coleslaw, and apple sauce. A salad, rolls, and dessert come with each meal. Dinner costs are: adult fish/shrimp combo, $11; adult fish or shrimp platter, $10; adult pizza, $9; senior discount $1 off any adult meal price; kids’ meals: $7 for fish/shrimp and $5 for pizza. Complimentary coffee, tea, water, and lemonade will be available along with a cash bar for beer, wine, and soda.
“We welcome everyone to our table at St. Raymond this Lent,” added Bullock. “Our food and service is outstanding and the community feeling during the night is overwhelming.”
