Student Found With Knives After Threat At Rolling Meadows High School: Police
Authorities continue investigating the incident which reportedly included a verbal threat.
ROLLING MEADOWS, IL – An 18-year-old student was taken into custody Wednesday evening after allegedly making a verbal threat to harm others with a knife at Rolling Meadows High School, police said.
Rolling Meadows police officers responded around 7:20 p.m. to the school, located at 2901 Central Road, for a report of the threat.
Police said officers located and detained the student, who was found with two knives in his possession. The knives were not displayed during the incident, and no students or staff members were harmed, according to police.

Authorities said preliminary investigation indicates the incident was isolated, and activities on school grounds were allowed to continue.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police said they are continuing to work with Rolling Meadows High School and Northwest Suburban High School District 214.
