Summer reading program features fun for all ages

Read to the Rhythm at Arlington Heights Memorial Library this summer!

June 1–August 8
Music meets reading in this summer’s Read to the Rhythm reading program. We have activities planned for all ages, so sign up early and join us for a great summer celebration of music, dancing, singing and reading.

Kids
Celebrate music in all its various styles this summer as you improve your reading skills. Whether it’s attending a concert or making the music yourself, the library is the place to be. Sign up in Kids’ World or on the bookmobile. Receive a book log in which to record your reading goals and to keep track of your progress. When you are finished, bring the book log in to the library to select a book of your choice. For infants to age 12.

Teens
This summer in the Hub, each time you read a book, learn a new musical skill, create in our DIY space or come to one of our events, you will earn (and make) badges with our 3D printers, button maker, vinyl cutter and more. Complete all four of the above accomplishments to be eligible to win prizes like iTunes gift cards, musical instruments and the grand prize - a pair of Beats By Dre headphones. For teens in grades 7–12.
