Thief Steals Lexus From Driveway: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. ARRESTS

VIOLATION OF BAIL BOND

Armando Arroyo, 54, had a warrant for violation of bail bond, and was arrested May 12 at Dunkin' Donuts, 2106 S. Arlington Heights Road. Bond was set at $5,000.

Chase M. Doherty, 19, is accused of leaving the scene of an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested May 15 at E. Palatine and N. Arlington Heights roads. He was released and assigned a court date of June 10.

IDENTITY THEFT

Willie Jones, 59, is accused of aggravated identity theft, unlawful possession of a credit card, theft, and was arrested May 11 at Jewel-Osco, 9501 W. Devon Ave. A court date of June 7 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Ruslanbek Karazakov, 31, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, and was arrested May 13 at Golf and Algonquin roads. He was released and assigned a court date of June 24.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Michael Scott Shope, 59, is accused of criminal damage to property, aggravated assault, reckless driving, and was arrested May 13 at Palatine and Arlington Heights roads. A court date of June 4 was assigned.

DECEPTIVE PRACTICES

Michelle R. Tyler, 37, is accused of deceptive practices (bad checks), and was arrested May 13 at a Buick dealership, 777 W. Dundee Road. A court date of June 7 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

THEFT OF SERVICES

An employee at Peggy Kinnane's, 8 N. Vail Ave., reported at 9 p.m. May 8, three people had left the restaurant without paying their $167 tab. Two of the males were described as approximately 20 years of age. Both were wearing shiny back collared Lacoste t-shirts; one with sweatpants on and the other wearing tan shorts.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

A resident in the 700 block of S. Ridge Avenue called police at 1:30 a.m. May 9, to report someone had stolen her gray Lexus from the driveway.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A resident in the 200 block of S. Reuter Drive called police to report that between May 8 and May 9, someone had entered his silver Audi and stole personal property.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO VEHICLE

A resident in the 2100 block of S. Tonne Drive called police to report that during the overnight hours of May 10 someone had shattered the sunroof on her 2018 Infiniti, entered the vehicle and rummaged through its contents.

BURGLARY

An employee at Fair Price Tobacco, 39 W. Golf Road, reported at 10:47 p.m. May 10, someone had shattered the glass window on the front door, made entry and stole approximately $1,600 worth of product. The male was wearing a North Face hoodie.
