Trucker Found Dead On I-90 Near Arlington Heights Road

The 60-year-old was found unresponsive Friday in his truck tractor semi-trailer.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A 60-year-old man was found dead Friday behind the wheel of his truck tractor semi-trailer on Interstate 90, near Arlington Heights Road, according to the Illinois State Police. The cause of death of James R. Houle, of Stephenson, Michigan, is still pending, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Police had responded to the area of I-90, near milepost 70.25 (Arlington Heights Road), at around 3:07 p.m. to check the well-being of a truck driver. Upon arrival, a truck tractor semi-trailer was parked on the shoulder of the interstate. Troopers located an unresponsive male, later identified as Houle, inside the truck tractor. Emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after and the Houle was pronounced dead at 3:34 p.m. at the scene.

The Illinois State Police told Patch Monday there is no further information is available at this time.
