Unknown Person: Schaumburg Police Trying To Identify Hotel Guest
Police told Patch an investigation into a recent homicide at the same hotel is not related.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Police released images of an unknown person on its social media accounts Tuesday, and is seeking the public's help in identifying them. The person, who appears to be a man in the video surveillance image grabs, was at the Extended Stay America (Woodfield Mall) in October andNovember, according to police.
Last month, a 23-year-old man was charged with first-degree murder after a 28-year-old woman died of blunt force trauma in a room at the same hotel at 1200 American Lane. Schaumburg Sgt. Karen McCartney told Patch the attempt to identify the person in the surveillance video is not related to the homicide case.

Police are asking the public to call their investigators tip line at 847-348-7055, regarding case No. 21-60006, if they recognize the person. Tips may be given anonymously.
