ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — A student at Windsor Elementary School in Arlington Heights has been diagnosed with whooping cough, the Daily Herald is reporting. District 25 has notified the Cook County Department of Health regarding the pertussis case and, in a letter to parents, school officials urged children or parents showing symptoms to "see your doctor and keep your child home, as pertussis is highly contagious and treatment recommendations include antibiotics."
