Winner of Reality TV Show 'Ink Master' Found Dead in Hotel Room in Roselle

The 41-year-old man was the 2014 winner of Spike TV's "Ink Master," taking home a $100,000 prize.

Plainfield resident and tattoo artist Scott Marshall was found dead in a Roselle hotel room, according to Roselle Police Sgt. John Lawson. He was 41 years old.

Lawson said they had received a call from the Holiday Inn Express located at 1490 W. Lake St. for an unresponsive guest at 4:24 p.m. Sunday.

Johanna Marshall told TMZ that her husband said he wasn’t feeling well enough to drive home and stayed at a hotel. When he didn’t answer his phone she became worried. Johanna also said that a preliminary autopsy result showed Marshall’s death may have had something to do with his heart.

In addition to running Roselle Tattoo Co., Marshall won season 4 of Spike TV’s “Ink Master” and took home the grand prize of $100,000.
