Winning $1.45M Lottery Ticket Sold In Des Plaines: IL Lottery
The ticket for Sunday's evening drawing was purchased at a BP gas station, according to officials.

DES PLAINES, IL — Saying the winner is a "regular customer," the owner of a BP gas station in Des Plaines is celebrating the news that a $1.45 million Lucky Day Lotto ticket had been sold at his establishment over the weekend.
"I'm thrilled this win is going to a familiar face and that we were able to celebrate with the lucky winner," said Febin Thomas, owner of the gas station at 1215 Lee St.
The winning ticket matched all five numbers in the Sunday evening drawing to score the jackpot prize. The winning numbers were: 6-16-32-33-40.

Thomas was also pleased to learn his store will receive a cash selling bonus of one percent of the prize amount, which means a bonus of $14,500.
The same BP location also sold $25,000 and $50,000 scratch-off tickets over the last two years.

What does Thomas plan to do with the money? According to Illinois Lottery, he said, "I have many longtime employees, some have even worked for me for over 10 years, and I'd love to share the bonus with them."
