Woman, 83, Struck, Killed By Own SUV In Driveway: Elk Grove Village PD
The incident occurred Wednesday morning at a home on Stonehaven Avenue, according to police.
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL — An 83-year-old woman was struck and killed Wednesday by her own car in the driveway of her home. According to police, the incident occurred at around 9:30 a.m.
Rosaria Bacigaluop, of the 600 block of Stonehaven Avenue, was found injured in her driveway and was taken to an area hospital by the fire department. Her vehicle, an SUV, was unoccupied, but still running.
Bacigaluop, who had multiple injuries, was pronounced dead at 10:13 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Stonehaven Avenue was closed for around two hours as investigators gathered more information and attempted to locate witnesses. The investigation is active and ongoing.
"The Elk Grove Village Police Department extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of the victim," officials said in a social media post.
